Who we are

HV Groundworks is a boutique land management and restoration company serving the Hudson Valley. Founded around a shared belief that good stewardship comes from careful observation, ecological understanding, and hands-on experience. When you work with us, you work directly with the people overseeing the project from assessment through completion.

Martin brings years of practical experience in orchard rehabilitation, land management, and hardscape construction, including dry stone walls, pond excavation, meadow establishment, and long-term property restoration throughout the region.

Molly is a renowned botanist and ecologist with a Master of Science degree in botany. Her background includes native plant restoration, regional seed sourcing, vegetation assessment, and ecological restoration work across the Northeast. Her writing and environmental work have appeared in publications including National Geographic, Bon Appétit, GOOD, and Rodale's Organic Life.

Together, we combine scientific knowledge with practical fieldwork to help landscapes become healthier, more resilient, and more deeply connected to the people who care for them.
